3 Bad Habits That Will Kill Your Spiritual Growth (MUST HEAR)
Sometimes we all fall into habits of laziness with our spiritual growth. Does that make it okay? No. It means we need to be more aware of when those times present themselves. Our fuel comes from more revelation of The Word of God. It comes from reading and praying. If we don’t do those things, we begin to see the consequences of our neglect.Does God still love us? Yes, and He Always will.
Love pushes you to become better, not complacent.
Here are three habits that can kill your spiritual growth:
- Having a bad temper– We are called to have temperance. The Greek definition for temperance is: self-mastery and self control. James 1:20 says, “For the wrath of man worketh not the righteousness of God.” Ephesians 4:26 says, “Be ye angry, and sin not: let not the sun go down upon your wrath“
- Failing To Assemble Yourself in Worship– Removing our time with the saints can definitely stunt our spiritual growth. We need the encouragement and the fellowship with other believers. We need to know that we’re not alone.
- Absence of prayer and Bible reading– Again this is our fuel and our strength. This is where we are renewed to begin each day. When we miss this time, we can certainly feel it.
If we stay away from these habits, and many others; we will continue to grow spiritually.
