Guard Your Heart – Joyce Meyer

Guard Your Heart – Joyce Meyer | I Love Being Christian Videos

With her usual keen intuition and wisdom, Joyce Meyer speaks on what it means to have a heart condition, and how to guard against it. When people hear the words ‘heart condition’, the first assumption they make is that it is a physical ailment. In this sermon, Joyce speaks on a different kind of heart condition – a spiritual one.

These are few things she touches on:

  • 1. “God tests our hearts… It’s not God just playing games with us to see what we can take…But because He wants us to see what’s in us.”
  • 2. 1 Corinthians 3:13-15, “No matter what kind of good work we do, if we do it with a poor motive, that work is unacceptable to God. And we will lose the reward of it.”
  • 3. “Why do we get a hard heart? Well, I believe it can come from abuse…disappointments – usually with people…”
  • 4. Luke 18:1 “We should always pray and don’t faint, don’t ever give up,”
  • 5. There is a difference between being discerning and careful, and being suspicious and hard-hearted.

Our hearts are tested to show us our own true strength. That strength is not derived from being overly cautious, however, but simply from keeping faith in God, and loving sincerely. Do not let your heart be hardened by disappointment, or anger, or abuse. Keep your faith close, and love freely, and all will be as it should be.
