People either seem to love or hate President Trump. There isn’t a lot of in between. However, no matter how you personally feel about our president, you will appreciate the late breaking story about him meeting with inner city pastors.
According to a video featured on Trump TV Network, President Trump invited several inner city pastors to a meeting at the White House. The President took advantage of the occasion and used it to address not only the pastors themselves put the American people as well. He commended the pastors for doing the hard work they have set out to do and talked about his administration’s commitment to continued improvement within the inner cities.
Why This Matters
President Trump made a point to invite not necessarily the most well known pastors in the country or those with the largest congregations to the White House. Instead, he focused on the pastors and religious leaders who were doing the hard work it takes to change our country from the inside out each and every day. In many ways, he was just giving them a good pat on the back and saying, keep it up, you’re doing a great job and what you are doing matters. The Bible communicates a similar message in Galatians 6:9, which says, “Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.”
President Trump encouraged the “workers in the field” to continue their good work. For in due time, they will most certainly reap a harvest. This harvest won’t be one of wheat or corn, but instead of lives changed for the better and in turn a country heading in the right direction, that being back towards God.
