After the horrible news out of New York hit headlines, many had thoughts they wanted to share with regard to their thoughts on late-term abortion. One such person was the acclaimed activist and actor Ashton Kutcher. Though the actor didn’t exactly express his personal opinion on late-term, or last trimester adoption, he did share a heart-warming video with his 18 million Facebook followers.
The video seemed to indicate he valued every life, even those that seemed unwanted.
What The Video Entailed
The video shared by Kutcher was from 2017 when Frank Steven, who has Down syndrome, spoke in front of Congress. The video showcases, Steven, who is a successful actor and a Special Olympian, explaining he was sad that people were making the decision to abort children who had conditions like his own. He said in the hearing, “Seriously, I have a great life!” When Ashton Kutcher shared the video, he added the caption “Everyone’s life is valuable.”
An Opinion Confirmed by the Bible
Not only do Ashton Kutcher and Frank Steven agree on the fact that every life has value, but the Bible also backs up their opinions. Every life is in fact valuable and worthwhile. As it says in Psalm 139:13-16, “For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well. My frame was not hidden from you when I was made in the secret place, when I was woven together in the depths of the earth. Your eyes saw my unformed body; all the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be.”
