The Miraculous Image of Jesus Seen Walking Among the Flames of Notre Dame

Inside Edition / Youtube
By now, you have likely heard of the tragic event that took place this past Monday, when the world watched as the iconic Notre Dame cathedral in Paris, France was almost consumed by flames. One woman named Lesley Rowan, from West Dunbartonshire, Scotland happened to notice what some would describe as a miraculous image among the flames. She shared the picture via her Facebook account and asked others what they saw to confirm her suspicions.
What Was in The Shared Image?
Rowan’s post read “I may be letting my mind play tricks here, folks take a close look at this pic and tell me what do you see?”
The comments on the post exploded and quickly showed Rowan that what she saw in the image was not unique to her alone. The following comments are just a few of the many communicating what each person believed the image beheld:
- “Yeah, I saw it straight away—it’s Jesus!”
- “I can see it pretty clear, gown and all. Imagine this was how God showed us He wasn’t happy with us, by using acts of God to take away ancient, beautiful monuments and cathedrals.”
Rowan said the following about what she saw when looking at the photograph:
“When I looked at the photo last night, I was really astounded by what I saw. When I look at it I see a silhouette of Jesus. I really see a vivid image. I shared it and asked for people’s opinions—even my brother in Australia said it looks like Jesus.”
Why It was Important For Rowan to Share Her Discovery
One might wonder what it even matters, why she wanted to share the photo that she believes shows Jesus in the midst of the flames. She explained her desire to share as follows:
“I felt like it will bring comfort to people in Paris and all over the world at this sad time.”
More Comfort to Be Found in Promise to Rebuild
In addition to this photo, Emmanuel Macron’s words of hope are also an encouragement to many. He said the following during a speech addressing the nation:
“We have so much to rebuild, so yes, we will rebuild the Notre-Dame cathedral, even more beautiful, and I want that to be completed from now—until five years. We can do it.”
He went on to add:
“It is up to us to convert this disaster into an opportunity.”
